Opioids cross the placenta and will produce respiratory depression and psycho-physiologic effects in neonates. An opioid antagonist, like naloxone, should be readily available for reversal of opioid-induced respiratory depression within the neonate. Oxycodone and acetaminophen tablets aren't sug
